Who are we?

The Oenology Tourism Association of Castilla La Mancha is an association made up of 28 wineries that aim to promote wine-related tourism in this autonomous region.

Wine Tourism is a new alternative for holidays and for economic development. Growing interest in experiencing new things during our leisure time, the increased options for travel within our reach and, above all, a greater appreciation for the wine world and related culture have made travellers in the 20th century more eager to explore this type of holiday and leisure possibility.

At the same time, the development of this winemaking culture and recognition of the economic relevance of wine production have led to an increase in the quantity and variety of the wineries and production areas worldwide.

Wine Tourism is a phenomenon in which diverse elements involved in the winemaking process (wineries, vineyards and their surroundings) are placed at the centre of the holiday experience.
