Since the first grape vines were planted in 1984, Bodegas y Viñedos Sánchez Muliterno has reached the highest recognitions that currently distinguish the excellence of their wines.

A sea of vineyards growing on a bed of boulders and pebbles, as was speech in the times of Cervantes, has given the name to this beautiful and exclusive landscape where El Guijoso Estate is to be found and where the Sánchez Muliterno Family has erected their renowned winery and vineyards. Bodegas y Viñedos Sánchez Muliterno are located on the border with the Lagunas de Ruidera Natural Park, in Albacete lands about 80 kilometers from Albacete itself, nestled amongst the villages of roman origin El Bonillo and Ossa de Montiel. It offers the visitor alternatives that combine nature, culture and leisure. All this in a place that is ideal for relaxing and enjoyment, not only enjoyment of nature, but also of one of the most beautiful landscapes to be found on the Peninsula, as is the casewith the Lagunas deRuidera. And ifwhatwe are in search of is the region’s history and culture, then the Winery itself is ideal, given that it is right on the Don Quixote Route. All those interested in becoming acquainted with this land will have the opportunity to find accommodation in its rural cottages, taste the wines of the estate and even participate in tasting sessions and enjoy the best traditional Manchego style cooking. This is much more than a mere winery. The lover of wine will be able to enjoy a world of possibilities, leisure, nature, tourism and culture. Since the first grape vines were planted in 1984, Bodegas y Viñedos Sánchez Muliterno has reached the highest recognitions that currently distinguish the excellence of their wines.

The vineyard surrounds and embraces the winery, thus configuring an exclusive landscape that is doted with the necessary singularity to become one of the few wineries to have been granted the Pago Denomination of Origin in Spain. This category implies compliance with the following requirements: one hundred percent of the grapes must be harvested on thewinery estate itself, comprehensive control of the harvest and elaboration processes, a quality manual and several years of national and international recognition. Their wines are original and personal, counting with all the guaranties of a quality wine. At Pago Guijoso the great vineyard that surrounds the winery extends throughout 99 hectares, at a height over sea level of 1000 meters. The wine is born and elaborated on the land itself. Right in themiddle of the Montiel lands, where very singular and defined climate conditions and soils are to be found, the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grape vines regale us with the best of the soil: its excellent wines.
