Located in the historical Campo de Montiel, Finca Marisánchez is one of the most strikingly beautiful and idiosyncratic properties to be found in the southern part of La Mancha. Smack in the middle of the estate Bodegas Real rises to the occasion. This is where the Barroso family has been elaborating wines since 1989, resulting in very personal wines in search of being a faithful reflection of the characteristics of theManchego terroir (specificityof place), branded by a unique climate and soil, given that the variables that come together in this area are unique, not being found in any other vine-growing region in the world. The grape that is used is selected from amongst the 280 hectares of own vineyards that surround the winery.

At a distance of just a few meters the estate’s country house is to be found, which already in the 17th century was a roadside inn receiving travelers and traders from all around, reason being that the house is located in the crossroads of one of the Royal Paths that united eastern Spainwith the peninsular south. Currently tradition and modernity cohabit in perfect harmony. A varied gastronomic offer can be enjoyed in the estate’s dining halls, as is the case with different wine tasting sessions that take place. The conference hall has been designed to hold workmeetings, congresses, conventions, seminars and other cultural events such as exhibitions and concerts.

Altogether, the desire of both the Finca Marisánchez and Bodegas Real has been to once again open its doors to the visitor with more determination than ever, committing to guiding tourists through the universe of the wine producer and enologist, sharing aromas, colors, flavors and sensations with them. Guests enjoy the possibility of strolling through the vineyards, experiencing life in awinery, reveling in the particular atmosphere of the grape harvest. The proprietors want to share their landscape, gastronomy and art, all of which in these lands are closely bound to the world of wine. The Hotel will be the crowning touch to the tourist complex; the same strategically located just a few kilometers fromimportant tourist areas such as Villanueva de los Infantes, Almagro or Valdepeñas.
